From Bride Elisa: “I wanted to embrace the flora and fauna of Bali and we wanted green and white with gold and or yellow. Bali is an amazing destination start to finish and you can find ways to save money if you think doing it on a budget isn't possible. I did it and was able to plan it remotely. Some was luck but some of it was wonderful people who go above and beyond to make your dream and vision a reality. Asia Wedding Network helped with our wedding planning with their great ideas and great advice.”

First off, how did you two meet? “We met online-thank you to the app Tinder.”

Describe your wedding! “We were engaged in March of 2019 and were married in June of 2019 so not very long. In January 2019 we discussed vacationing in Bali that June. I had been 5 years prior and Bali was number one on Dave's bucket list so we had been in the process of planning our summer holiday. When we got engaged the practical person in me said maybe we should make Bali our honeymoon. That is when Dave said why don't we get married in Bali? And I thought that sounded like a dream come true and the planning started. We then decided since the destination was likely a bit costly and far for our family and friends in the US to make it the two of us and have a later party with family and friends in December 2019.”

What’s the one moment you will never forget? “The moment I will never forget is the look of slight nervousness, deep love and happiness on my husband’s face as I walked down the aisle and into his future.”

What emotions did you feel throughout the day? “Excitement and Awe. It was so beautiful and relaxed and truly special. It exceeded our expectations from start to finish. Walking down the staircase to see the simple beauty in the Sthala in Ubud. We had been on the terrace the day before and stayed at the hotel but what Happy Bali Wedding did to create the offering for our vows and ceremony was spectacular yet simple and elegant.”

Any Advice for current brides? “My advice is to have fun and invest in a good photographer.”
