From Bride Bonnie: “The best part of the wedding day for us was seeing how happy all of our loved ones were when we were celebrating together. Some of our favorite moments were getting ready in the bridal suite, including meeting our hair and makeup artist, Top, who was a very big personality. On the day of the wedding, he burst into the bridal suite and declared every one of us was going to be “gorgeous!" Jimmy and his groomsmen enjoyed the opportunity to see the ceremony arrangements and spend time with our guests before walking down the aisle. Jimmy was especially entertained by the violinist who was hired to play during and before the ceremony. The violinist had learned the melodies to our favorite pop songs and played beautiful versions of them for our guests.”

First off, how did you two meet? “We are both pharmacists who moved to San Francisco from our hometowns, and met when we were assigned to work at the same location. We became fast friends and have spent 3 years together as a couple since then.”

Tell us about your wedding! "“We wanted our wedding to be an adventure for our family and friends, so we chose a beautiful exotic location for our ceremony. After exploring several options, we found Ilaire with Wedding Boutique Phuket. We were attracted to the beauty of this coastal city, as well as the hospitality of the Thai people. We loved the idea of bringing all of our loved ones together to spend an extended amount of time together across the world. While we chose an adventurous destination, we still wanted a traditional western wedding style with modern touches. Bonnie loves feminine flowers and details, so she and Ilaire worked together to create a vision of soft, muted pastel colors and lush flowers.”

Any advice for current bride-to-be’s planning their wedding? “Our advice for current couples is to use the wedding-planning experience to reinforce the love and communication between all the parties involved. Many couples who plan weddings will experience trying and stressful moments, and a large event like this can be a lot of pressure. But the best takeaways from our wedding planning experience were the hours that we spent together as a couple working on the logistics and details, as well as the time we spent with our wedding party.”
