From Bride Rose: “Our wedding is more than what we have dreamed of. It took us a year to plan our dream wedding. With the help our of lovely suppliers, our visions were turned into reality. Our ceremony was held at San Antonio de Padua church. We always wanted to get married in a church in front of God, family and friends. We also chose to have a garden reception held at Angelfields Nature Sanctuary. We opted for white and greens throughout our ceremony and reception set up. We wanted our wedding to be simple yet elegant… “less is more” is what we aimed for.”
First off, how did you two meet? “Angelo and I have been together for 8 years and 8 months before getting married. My family moved to Brisbane, Australia and that is where I met Angelo. We were both in year 11 when we first met. Although we went to different secondary schools we manage to established a great friendship before we became a couple.”
What emotions did you feel throughout the wedding day? “One word to describe how we felt that day… SURREAL. It was a very special moment for both of us as it is a wonderful ending of a chapter in our lives, but at the same time a blissful beginning as Mr. and Mrs. Gran. There was so much emotions of pure love and happiness from us and from everyone who witnessed our wedding. What struck me the most on our wedding day was when the doors of San Antonio de Padua church opened and I can hear “Can’t Help Falling in Love by Haley Reinhart” playing. For every step I took closer to Angelo, I saw him at the end of the aisle teary eyed. Everything that we went through flashed back at me as I was walking… it was genuine love and happiness that brought us together as one.”
Describe your wedding - how did you choose the venue? “A lot of our guests wondered why we chose Tagaytay, our answer to that is the first time Angelo visited Philippines, we went to a church in Tagaytay and he made a remark “the next time we will be here is our wedding day”, and now looking back, he did stay true to his words.”
Which colors did you use? “The colors of sage green, light gray, charcoal and blush pink were seen in our bridal party and wedding guests. We chose these colors to blend with the mood of the wedding.”
Any advice for current bride-to-be’s planning their wedding? “It will be challenging no doubt BUT enjoy every milli-second of it. It is true when they say you will miss every emotion you felt during the planning stage and the actual wedding day. When things get stressful, always remember the reason why and that is the love between you and your fiancé. Listen and compromise."
