This couple relied heavily on online resources when planning their glamorous, bold wedding from overseas. With strong personalities, they looked for statement-making inspirations that really showed off who they were! Their Church ceremony was done at one of the oldest Churches in the country and reception at a restored old Spanish mansion, really emphasizing their unique Spanish vintage glam wedding theme. With a unique mix of burgundy reds, champagne golds, and bold blacks, this is one grand wedding that will really make you go “wow.”
From the bride: “Everything about our wedding reflected who we are as a couple. The process was really challenging but by God’s grace and through our commitment with each other, we managed to pull off the wedding of our dreams!”
Flashback question - how did you two meet? “We met at a wedding event sponsored by a Catholic youth group in Kuwait. I was the assigned photographer and he was one of the organizers.”
How long did it take to plan your wedding? “We planned the wedding while based overseas for 15 months immediately after our engagement and heavily relied on online wedding resources. Since we’re the type of couple who doesn’t like to go with the trend because it’s the “it” thing, we decided to have every detail of our wedding to really reflect who we are as a couple and what we are passionate about.”
What time of theme did you go for? “Because our personalities were both strong, we decided to go for bolder type of colors for our motif while making sure that it is still connected with our theme, Spanish Vintage Glam which was a reflection of our hometown’s rich culture.”
What colors did you use? “Infused with the deep, attractive colors of black, champagne gold and burgundy red, we wanted to create a unique, bold yet classic atmosphere for our loved ones to experience. It also coincidentally echoed the cheery holiday vibe since we got married two days before Christmas.”
What kind of emotions did you feel throughout your wedding day? “Indescribable! It was a day full of mixed emotions from being thrilled about everything, nervous about things that might go wrong, overjoyed because its finally happening and sad because we will surely miss our wedding planning adventures. Also, since our families and friends were mostly based overseas, being able to gather everyone on our wedding day that turned out into a big unexpected reunion was one of the best highlights of our wedding day aside from our exchange of vows.”
Advice for future brides? “Set a realistic wedding budget, be specific with what you want, have more patience, do your research and enjoy the wedding planning with your fiancé.
