Growing up, Mifuyu and Garret lived two bus stops away but they never knew of each other - now, after working as colleagues in interior design, they’re husband and wife! Starting with a natural photoshoot in Singapore’s Gardens by the Bay followed by a traditional Chinese ballroom wedding banquet, this wedding was beautifully captured by Philippine’s Peach Frost Studio.

From the bride: “There is quite a lot of mixed feelings throughout the day, I can’t find one exact word to describe but every moment will definitely be very special. The very next day when we woke up, the first feeling was that yesterday seems like a dream, the time swift passed so quickly that we hope we can freeze the time on our actual day.”

Flashback question: How did you two meet? “Garret and I are both Interior Designers and we officially met when we are colleagues in a design firm. To share a little more details why I mentioned ‘officially’, we are actually from the same secondary school and polytechnic, what is even more surprising is that our house are just 2 bus stops away! But we never have any chance of knowing each other. It is really amazing how fate bring us together when we both started our work life. We actually do not have a good impression of each other to begin with, maybe we both have strong belief with our works and design work can be quite subjective. However negative poles do attract, we started to interact more when we got assigned to work on the same projects. As time passed, we realised that each other isn’t that bad and we can actually complement each other on the short side.”

Advice for future brides? “Start early! Not to rush on making decision until you feel real comfortable about it. Don’t be restricted and always feel free to look around for more options / choices. Always remember and remind yourself that your wedding is once in a lifetime, never feel obliged to commit to anything if you have doubts in order not to have regrets. We learnt about Murphy’s Law from one of the groomsmen. Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong, so don’t be too stressed up by any hiccups on the day itself. Most importantly, enjoy the process of planning and the actual day itself, and smile brightly! All this will become parts and parcels of your memories when you think back. ”
