Former Miss Hong Kong 2012, Carat Cheung kept her relationship with boyfriend, Joe Choy private for quite a while. Recently, she took it to her social media accounts to share a photo of the romantic duo looking absolutely love-struck with each other. Not long after that, she posted a gorgeous photo to announce their engagement. In the photo, Cheung was wearing a gown with an off-shoulder sparkly bodice and white tulle skirt, featuring an elegant look completed by a bedazzled rhinestone hair piece. Her fiancé looked clean cut in a suit that appeared to be dark navy or black. The bride-to-be captioned the gorgeous photo with "He stole my heart. So I'm planning to take his last name. #theone #onlyone #us Thanks to my bestfriends who have helped keeping this a secret for so long." Jacqueline Wong, the first runner up of Miss Hong Kong 2012 is one of the many celebrities to congratulate her former beauty pageant contestant on the exciting news. Wong wrote on her Instagram, "Congratulations once again! haha this puts pressure on everyone who was running for Miss Hong Kong in our year!"

Cheung spoke with Oriental Daily about the pre-wedding photoshoot, she said, "We were planning to travel to Europe and have our pre-wedding photos taken at the same time. But since we both have a very hectic working schedule, we wanted to spare our day-off for the wedding ceremony and honeymoon. So at the end of the day, we decided to take the pre-wedding photos in Hong Kong." And when asked if they would do another pre-wedding photoshoot again somewhere outside Hong Kong, she said they're really happy with the photos they have already and are going back to Vancouver to plan the wedding dinner with her side of the family.
