Frank and Kiki were both finishing their degree in Japan 7 years ago but everything started at 7:27pm on October 18, 2009. That moment was when they became boyfriend and girlfriend, and it marked the beginning of a story that changed their lives forever.
When Frank decided to propose, he started to work so hard on the proposal for a whole year. He recorded a short clip every day for 365 days since May 20th 2015. Having absolutely no dancing experience, Frank practiced at the studio every morning. He's never learned music his entire life so it took him a long time to learn with a lot of dedication and hard work. With the help of 15 professionals for dance rehearsals and sound, Frank had the proposal set up right outside Hankyu Umeda Main Store in the Xinyi District of Taipei.
When the clock struck 7:27pm at the square, Frank had an express delivery guy bring Kiki a package. Inside he wrote, "Do you still remember 10/18 19:27?" Kiki lifted her head, she was suddenly joined by a troupe of dancers. She followed them up the flight of spiral stairs. At the top of the stairs, she saw Frank’s spectacular dance choreography.A video was playing in the background, filled with the memories of their 7 years together - the documentary clips of Frank’s one year long proposal preparation, alongside their friends’ blessings.
When she whirled around, she saw her friends walking to the red carpet. At this point, she was surrounded by them and an orchestra.
Frank walked to Kiki from the other end of the carpet while strumming his guitar. "I know we still have a long way to go," he said. "All of this is not enough. Only if you are married to me can we start planning our future together." He then put away his guitar, got down on one knee, and proposed. Kiki told him "YES!" and he put the ring on while she as she started to burst into tears. Kiki could not hide the surprise and happiness on her face - and all of their friends were there to witness their story turning into a new chapter.
