The last prewedding photoshoot I want to share is actually the first one we took. This engagement session took place in Taipei, and was one that we’ll always keep close to our hearts. We wanted something natural, simple, something that showed off who we were as a couple. With our photographers, Allen and Vanol from Milk & Honey Studios, we first started off at home and then ventured into all the natural beauty that the city has to offer.
Abigail from Abigail Victoria Makeup did my makeup and hair for each look. We went from a natural and soft look, to an evening dress outdoor look, to a more glamorous wedding dress look. Each time the makeup and hair was done perfectly to match each theme.
Letters by Ann did an amazing job with all the props and calligraphy, really adding more elements to the shoot. What makes a styled shoot memorable isn’t just the bride and groom, but the supporting characteristics that accompany the photo collection. I will forever cherish the items from Ann as they were done with such grace and perfection.
The robe from Silver Lining Lingerie was so silk and smooth, and I loved lounging around in it while doing my makeup for the first shoot. Soon after the casual shoots were done, I changed into my evening and wedding dresses, which were made by the extremely talented Australian bridal designer, Angela Marcuccio. I was so in love with the dresses and I wish I could have kept them forever. I have to say the ‘Honour’ dress is my favorite. It not only made me feel so elegant and graceful, the dress matched perfectly with the surrounding environment of the outdoor shoot.
I was also so obsessed with the ‘Michelle’ dress from Angela Marcuccio as it which went so well with the surrounding environment of the shoot that was done at a Taipei University, a spot that our photographer, Allen highly recommended. Pairing each dress with jewelry from Shee’s Fine Jewelry was the perfect choice. When Founder, Erica presented me with the pieces from her collection, I was so surprised that each accessory, whether it was a bracelet, earring, or necklace, was created with such detail. Made with real diamonds, the pieces were not only beautiful on their own, but really brought out the elegance of each shoot.
The bouquets provided by The Florist Taipei were exactly what I imagined them to be. They delivered exactly what I wanted, and I was so surprised when they came in perfect condition. The first bouquet we chose had soft pastel colors, which really went well with the outdoor shoot in the surrounding nature. The other bouquet had stronger colors that complemented the more glamorous wedding dress shot.
Choosing vendors, creating each look, and finding the perfect concept is never an easy task, and as always, I couldn’t have done it without my team at the Asia Wedding Network.
