From Bride Abby: “We took our time to plan the wedding because we wanted to make sure we were making choices that felt right to us. We wanted the celebration to overlook a beautiful scene and be relaxing and memorable for the people we love most. We chose classic, simple colors but integrated pops of color.”
First off, how did you two meet? “We met in New York City on a rooftop and were friends for 5 years before we started dating.”
What kind of emotions did you (or your husband) feel throughout the day?
We had a long engagement (more than 2 years) so on our wedding day, we felt relief, happiness and excitement that the day was finally here. The moments that were most special to us were exchanging the vows we wrote ourselves and the fireworks show after our first dance, since it was such a grand and unique moment.
Advice for future brides? “Everyone will have an opinion about how you should do things but ultimately, the day is about you and your partner, the commitment you’re making to each other, and what is true to your personalities.”
